No. This site covers Messhof's 2026 game, a 2D platforming autoshooter released 25 August 2026. "Blood Dungeon" is also a location name in Ultima Online, and searches for it often collide with Bloodborne's chalice dungeons and Darkest Dungeon's Blood — none of which are this game.

No. It is a single-player premium game with no redemption system. Any site listing "Blood Dungeon codes" is either describing a different game — Iron Blood is the usual mix-up — or making them up.

Yes. The Xbox store listing shows it as included with Xbox Game Pass, and Messhof's own release trailer description lists Game Pass among the launch platforms. See the platforms page for the rest.

Yes, sold as "Blood Dungeon - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition". Nintendo also lists a separate Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack priced at $0.00, so owning the Switch version gets you the Switch 2 build for free.

Messhof's feature list says nine unlockable playable characters, which the game calls bunkmates. Seven can be named from a first-party or on-screen source: Gun Man, Leggy, Skinja, Bug, Baby, Leech and Barbarian. The remaining two are not documented anywhere we can check, and this site does not fill the gap with invented names.

PC Gamer's review puts a typical run at under ten minutes. The rarest achievement that measures duration, Jumps, asks you to last 13 minutes — 3.1% of players have done it.

Same studio. Messhof was founded in 2013 by Mark Essen and Kristy Norindr in Venice, California, and made Nidhogg (2014), Flywrench (2015), Nidhogg II (2017) and Wheel World (2025) before this.

The official Discord is the Messhof server, linked from blooddungeon.com — around 828 members at the end of August 2026. A small r/BloodDungeon subreddit also exists, created a few days after launch. For technical problems Messhof points players at the Discord first, then the Steam forum, then blooddungeon@messhof.com.

The demo went up on 6 June 2026 and has its own Steam entry. Note that demo footage does not always match 1.0 — the character roster and Bone Shop both changed between the two.
